How Campfire Unleashed POLARIS.AI™ to Reframe Market Expansion Strategy

Campfire leveraged Browi’s AI-powered competitive intelligence solution POLARIS.AI™, to evaluate 10 expansion markets for one of their national clients.

The Opportunity

As the Media Agency of Record for a CPG brand operating in a contracting market, Campfire was tasked with finding pockets of growth, prioritizing expansion markets where the brand could win despite category-wide headwinds.

Ten candidate markets were identified. The decision required rigorous analysis and alignment across multiple executive stakeholders.

The Challenge

Internal sales data showed demand. But it couldn’t answer the questions that mattered most for expansion:

  • Which cities had the highest competitor activity
  • Which audiences’ rivals were targeting – and how effectively
  • Where dense competition was already driving costs up

Campfire needed to layer competitive context onto the brand’s existing sales performance data to deliver recommendations that would withstand executive scrutiny.

The Impact

Campfire leveraged Browsi’s insights and overhauled the brand’s expansion strategy for 2026 by identifying saturated, high-cost markets to avoid.

Instead of competing in overcrowded cities, the brand shifted focus to five priority markets that offered high engagement with significantly less competition.

By targeting untapped audience segments, they bypassed expensive bidding wars to deploy their budget where it would have the most direct, efficient and effective impact.

“We’re always looking for sustainable ways to grow programmatic revenue without compromising the experience.

“One of the biggest impacts was how clearly we could align stakeholders around the plan. With a shared view of competitive pressure and audience opportunity, it made decision-making faster and far more confident”
